Wine List
“The wines of Casa Nuestra are eclectic and of special interest. We take great pride in producing small lots of old world, delicious and now somewhat obscure varietals from both our own organic vineyards (some of which date back to the 1940’s) and other small vineyards we seek out. Many of these wine styles and varietals have been lost in the commercialization of wine over the past few decades. Order a few bottles, taste and enjoy the living history.”

We have only seven rows and the fence line of Riesling grapes planted on our estate in 1966. With less than 1% residual sugar (RS), it is a beautifully balanced wine with bright, exotic fruits and a racy acidity making the finish crisp & clean. Enjoy slightly chilled on sultry afternoons or all year long with spicy Asian dishes or smoked cheese and apples. 2007 Tinto, St. Helena Napa Valley Estate
$32 btl / $384 case
This wine is made from our field mix vineyard planted in 1992. In that year we planted nine varietals on 2.3-acres, in the likeness of our Oakville stand, adding a bit more Rofosco, Petite Sirah, Carignane and Zinfandel. This vintage offers lush, ripe dark blackberries and hints of nutmeg on the palate and a wonderful nose of plum and cocoa. It has great structure as well as serious cellar potential. 480 cases produced

2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, St. Helena Estate
$55 bottle / six bottle limit
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was grown on the western-facing hillside of our St. Helena Estate. Each year, this small block yields enough juice to fill six small French Oak barrels, in which we age the wine for eighteen months. The result is beautiful: a bright and silky wine with complex flavors of black cherry and blueberry along with hints of vanilla with a velvety finish. 199 cases

2006 Meritage, Napa Valley, St. Helena Estate
$45 bottle / $540 case
Our Meritage blend is similar to the wines of St. Emillion, in France’s Bordeaux region. All the grapes we used were grown organically on our estate, vintified individually and aged in French oak barrels. The final blend is: Merlot (69%), Cabernet Franc (9%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (22%), resulting in a full-bodied, well structured wine with flavors of blackberries and cassis. This wine can be cellared for four to 12 years. 249 cases were produced.

2008 Late Harvest French Colombard, Old Vines, Napa Valley, Oakville Estate
$20 bottle /$240 case, splits (375 ml bottles) only
The French Colombard grapes are from a very small block of near-70 year-old vines topping our dry-farmed, hillside vineyard in Oakville. These vines are typically, as they were this year, Botrytized by the time we harvested in late November. The Botrytis (aka Noble Rot) concentrates the fruit flavors without raising the sugar level. This wine offers unique apricot flavors and with only 8% residual sugar, a refreshingly clean finish. It pairs beautifully with cheeses, dried fruits and mixed, salted nuts. 99 cases produced
2007 Merlot, Napa Valley, St. Helena Estate

We are very fortunate to be located in the region of Napa Valley that is most acclaimed for growing Merlot. Our 100% estate Merlot has consistently ranked among the finest from this dry, riparian terroir offering wines that are rich, complex and full-bodied. This vintage is no exception. Look for luscious red fruit in this bottle with a supple, round finish. This wine was bottled July 31, 2009 and should be cellared or decanted before enjoying. 151 cases produced.

2007 Tinto Classico, Old Vines, Napa Valley, Oakville Estate
$42 bottle / 6-bottle limit Club Casa Members, 3-bottles, non-members
(sold out)
This original field-blend wine offers a balance of bright fruit, (we get creamy blackberries and dark cherries this year) with a spicy white pepper on the finish. About nine varieties are side by side in this vineyard planted in the early 1940’s. The actual percentage of each contributing varietal is undetermined and may include Old-Clone Zinfandel, Mondeuse, Carignane, and Petite Sirah to name just a few. I’ve enjoyed past vintages of this wine with cream sauces over pasta or pork medallions in a reduction sauce. We produced 240 cases.
